I remember back when I got my first car, and it came with window tint already installed from the previous owner. Now mind you this was before I started a tint shop! I remember seeing videos of folks yanking their tint off themselves, with what looked like zero consequences. I rolled my drivers window down a little bit, started picking at the corner and before I knew it, I started yanking the tint off myself. Little did I know it was leaving ALL the glue behind on the glass! This is worst case scenario because now instead of steaming the tint off and removing the glue with steam, the glue was 100% on the glass still. I couldn’t roll my windows down anymore until I scraped all the glue off, on top of that my car reeked of a strong adhesive smell. I regretted my decision to try to do it myself, and wished I had brought it to a tint shop to let the professionals handle it. Now, scraping and removing the left-over glue is a lot more difficult and time consuming, and more costly to remove!

About a year later in 2011, I started A-Plus tinting and invested in a very nice & very expensive automotive grade steamer. Now, with the proper tools I was able to remove tint quickly and safely.
